Charity Trustee...who me?
Have you ever given this question a second thought? Charity Trustees come from all walks of life and are united by their wish to make positive changes in society. Most people are eligible to serve as Trustees and the work is rewarding and enjoyable and you will always come away with new skills. Youth CREATE is a vibrant, local performing arts charity for children and young people of all abilities, is well established in Sawbridgeworth and widely known further afield. In this, its 23rd year the charity has undergone something of a makeover with all functions reviewed and brought up to date. Our new workshop team is now well established and has brought a whole new life to the group with increased outreach work and productions that use the very latest technology in sound and light systems which the organisation proudly owns.
Currently, we have an excellent mix of skills on the Board of Trustees who are working actively to guide the organisation and as we approach our annual general meeting we look to strengthen that Board of Trustees. Perhaps you'd like to sponsor a child!?!
Although due to our charitable status we are able to offer workshops at a reduced rate, there are still families out there that struggle to meet this. At Youth CREATE we don't turn anyone away - everyone is welcome but unfortunately we can't afford to offer free classes to everyone! This is where sponsors step in! To sponsor a child means you are giving the child the opportunity to escape into a world of creativity, the chance to use their imagination and realise their dream! There's a lot of talented children out there performing at home in front of mirrors wishing and dreaming they could perform on a stage, you could make their dream come true! All sponsors are invited to our performances to share the magic of seeing that first performance - an extremely proud moment for any parent or relative and an unforgettable memory for a child.
