At Youth CREATE, we’re keen to promote training opportunities for young people and our creators are encouraged to volunteer with the younger age group, where they receive training in leadership skills.
We also encourage them to train to be part of our Entertainment Team; Youth Create Does Parties, where they can train with us to be an entertainer, a face painter or photographer!
In addition to this, the group offers volunteering opportunities to people outside the group, taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award and those wanting to gain their accredited Dance Leadership Award Level 1 can do so, with us!
Development of children’s creative skills is born in creative play. Through interactive music and drama they develop language skills, physical coordination and social skills. They learn to participate, take turns, listen and share. They begin to develop imaginative play and role play and they start to build up an understanding of the world around them.
Through singing, action songs and dance, children learn language skills and physical coordination. They also develop emotional and dramatic response to music of multiple styles. Arts and crafts develop the fine motor skills as well as the imagination and the feeling of achievement.
