At our Workshop Classes we teach the members to think for themselves rather than copy everything our tutors do. This helps build self-esteem as we embrace their creativity. We listen to all their ideas and try to include them into our productions so it becomes “their” show. Saying that, all our tutors are professionals within their skills and our members are taught to the highest standard.
With the knowledge already gained throughout the Funshop, we expect our Workshop members to have a more active role in the devising of performances. We unleash their creative skills and guide them towards excellence across the board.
‘Open Door Policy’. We also accept a percentage children who have a disability.
What does this mean? It means that your children will learn to accept and work with anyone!
We have 1:1 Support Workers to work alongside those that need it so the rest of the group can work at the correct pace for their ability and won’t be held back.
Visiting Specialists are regularly invited to our Workshop Sessions. They teach skills that they are currently practising professionally within the industry.
Past Specialists include; Brian Herring-Puppeteer (Disney, Jim Henson, Star Wars), Nathstar- Drummer (Justin Bieber), Darren Potter-Body double (Captain Jack Sparrow)
Our Workshop Members participate in local and regional competitions including East Herts Got Talent & Glee Club Challenge. They perform at community event such as Sawbridgeworth Xmas Lights and wider community events such as Keeping Dance Alive. They are also involved with an annual show with the Funshop Members.
